Swede Andreas Ståhl (9 wins, 0 losses, #5 Nordic Lightweight) is set to make his long awaited UFC debut. Real Steel will face Brazilian Viscardi Andrade (17 wins, 6 losses) on the UFC on FOX 12 card on July 26 at SAP Center in San Jose, California. Ståhl’s management announced the fight via Facebook this morning.
The undefeated Renyi Fighter is from Umeå in northern Sweden and is from the same camp as UFC veteran Tor Troeng. The 25 year old can also be found training at Allstars Training Center in Stockholm, which is the camp of Alexander Gustafsson.
“It feels great that I finally got a contract with the UFC.” said the Swede to MMAViking.com last October when he was first signed to a contract. Ståhl had to pull out of his originally set for a bout on December 7 in Australia against Alex Garcia due to injury.
Ståhl has been fighting professionally since 2009, and is a veteran of Superior Challenge, Battle of Botnia, Cage Fight Live, and most recent the European MMA promotion.
Viscardi is a 30 year old Brazilian with a one win and one loss record in the Octogan, most recently losing to fellow Swede Nicolas Musoke in February at UFC Fight Night – Machida vs. Mousasi.
