Emil Weber Meek (9-3, 1 NC) will face Poland’s Bartosz “The Butcher” Fabinski (13-2) at the UFC Fight Night card in Hamburg on July 22. The UFC announced the bout today.
With 9 wins – 7 wins by knockout – Emil Meek is a very promising fighter with enormous striking power. Coming off a loss against No.6 ranked Kamaru Usman, Meek will be looking to get back in the win column in Hamburg.
His opponent, Bartosz Fabinski, from Warsaw in Poland, will of course do everything to prove his Nickname “The Butcher” in the Octagon. He is a former high level judoka who enjoyed a winning streak of six fights in a role.
Fabinski seems to be immune against takedowns with a takedown defense rate of 100 percent. In his whole MMA career he counts 13 wins and just two losses.
This bout will be the first official welterweight bout of the evening so far.
